Hüsnü Aşk as an Example of Bildungsroman

Abstract

Bildungsroman is a new term for researchers interested in Turkish literature. In spite of this there are a lot of bildungsroman examples in Turkish literature. As a matter of fact in this article the relationship of Hüsn ü Aşk with bildungsroman has been analised. In the article this relationship has been evaluated by four points of view: The mental and emotional abilities of the theme, taking form that community and period desires, material and moral factors that effect the hero becoming ri pe, the steps of hero becoming ripe process. At the end of these analises and evaluations, it has been consequenced that Hüsn ü Aşk romance is an acceptable example of bildungsroman.
