The definition "dark spring" is an aspect that has seemed in our poetry since the middle of the 17th century in which Indian form began to influence Divan poetry. Also including the canception of contrariness this definition seems to take part in the poetry with this form. When we examine the couplets including the definition "dark spring" we see that this definition has been used in order to express the position in which the facial characteristics of the lover occured. Beiıutiful face of the lover which reminds spring with its brightness, brilliance and colour transforms into "dark spring" with the occurance of dark facial characteristics. Another form similar to "dark spring" in the poetry is "dark spiritual light" and it seems in the poetry in the same period with "dark spring". Although they sametimes correspond each other "dark sp iritual light" often means the curl on the forehead of the beautiful lover. lt seems that the definitions "dark spring" and "dark spiritual light" symbolize divine beauty and the spiritual situation of the lover just before the union in esateric way while they symbolize the beauty of the lover's face and forehead in exoterical way.Downloads
