Şehrîzâde Mehmed Said, one of the important figures of the 18th century Ottoman
historiography, is a prolific encyclopedist scholar who has managed to fit a large number
of scientific and literary works in various fields in his short life. Unfortunately, until recently, no comprehensive study has been made on the life and works of this versatile
author whose works that have survived to this day are scattered in libraries in the country
and abroad. In this study, it has been tried to give brief explanatory information by touching
on the life and characteristics of Şehrîzâde Mehmed Said’s Works.
