The institutionalization movement that began in the Ottoman Empire in 1703 in the name of westernization, created new institutions that differed from the traditional Ottoman institutions. It could only be realized one by one as needs arose through the passage of time gradually. This article is concerned with the royal sanitarian complexes built within the context of the 19th century institutionalization, the properties of Bezm-i Alem Valide Sultan Vakıf Guraba Hospital and the structuring projected by Mimar Kemalettin within Istanbul Medical Faculty.Downloads
