Translation has been an important tool used by societies to meet their scientific,
cultural, literary and diplomatic needs throughout human history. The science of
translation, which aims to ensure the interaction between different societies and languages
and the transfer of knowledge and wealth, has been important in every period as an
inevitable need and cultural exchange of information. For this reason, it is important for
translators to continuously acquire the necessary skills and endeavour to overcome the
difficulties they encounter in the translation process. This endeavour will lead to more
effective and accurate translations. One of the main structural difficulties encountered
in the translation process is reading difficulties. Especially in languages such as Arabic,
the limited use of motion marks can make it difficult to read and understand correctly.
In addition, grammatical difficulties also affect the translation process. Differences
between language and culture during translation may make it difficult to produce an
exact equivalent translation. At this point, it is important for the translator to have a
good command of the structures and cultural characteristics of both the source and target
languages. Cultural differences are important in the field of language and communication
and have a great impact on processes. Arabic translation is an important discipline that
provides communication by building bridges between the Arab world and other cultures.
In the context of the diversity and deep-rootedness of Arabic culture, it is seen that there
are difficulties in translation and that the transfer of culture cannot be fully achieved. This
study focuses on the difficulties experienced by translators based on cultural differences.
